Hello World!
I’m a computational chemist at Thammasat University. I apply my computational skills to help my experimental chemist friends understand their chemistry. By training, I used quantum mechanical techniques to predict molecular properties. However, I’ve been using molecular dynamics simulations and molecular docking techniques more and more. Hopefully, I’ll be incorporating AI and machine learning in the later part of my career.
Currently, I am part of the Thammasat Research Unit in Innovation of Molecular Hybrid for Biomedical Applications. My team consists of
- Assoc.Prof.Dr.Boonchoy Soontornworajit (Head of the team)
- Assoc.Prof.Dr.Pitchayanoot Rotkrua
- Asst.Prof.Dr. Jiraporn Arunpanichlert
I also get to collaborate with brilliant friends across other Universities. To name just a few:
- Suranaree University of Technology: Assoc.Prof.Dr. David Harding, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Phimphaka Harding
- Prince of Songkla University: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nararak Leesakul
- Mahidol University: Assoc.Prof.Dr. Thanthapatra Bunchuay, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Jonggol Tantirungrotechai
In my own lab, I lead a small group of students through interesting research projects. Through a bit of carrot and stick, I train them to be (fingers crossed!) good researchers and not-so-crazy people.
Outside the lab, you’ll usually find me reading, listening to music, and experimenting in the kitchen.
